NC-PIG

When dealing with pronouns in spanish, it is important that you consider what form of the verb you are dealing with. The form of the verb dictates the placement of the pronoun.

Using the NC-Pig model, helps you take the verb in its different forms and know where to place the pronoun accordingly.

If the verb is a negative command or conjugated verb, then the corresponding pronoun is placed before the verb.

If the verb is a positive command, infinitive verb or a gerrund, then the corresponding pronoun is placed after and attached to the verb.

(This Rule/Model applies to direct objects, indirect objects, and even reflexive pronouns.)
